Kerri-Lee Mayland is an Emmy Award-winning news anchor, interior and exterior designer and host of tv show Seasons Celebrates with Kerri-Lee Mayland.
Born in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, Kerri-Lee has been anchoring and reporting for more than 25 years in major markets all across the U.S. from Phoenix to Washington D.C., Boston to Philadelphia. Kerri-Lee has been on the front lines, covering the biggest headlines of our time, interviewing celebrities and newsmakers and sharing their stories across all platforms including TV, print, radio and social media. She continues to anchor as a freelance contributor on NBC Connecticut.
In 2021, she created the Kerri-Lee Mayland Company with the philosophy that design should be available to everyone no matter their budget. Kerri-Lee used quarantine during the pandemic to get serious about design and officially step into the ring by launching REFRESH, where she takes your living spaces and transforms them into comfortable and inviting places. When asked what her design style is by clients her answer is always — “Yours.”
She has used her design to provide comfortable spaces for visitors from all over the world at her bespoke New England properties. From the hills to the shore, she has earned the coveted title of Airbnb “Super Host,” and VRBO “Premier Host,” offering her guests an exceptional experience so they can make memories that will last a lifetime.
Kerri-Lee went back to school as student at Uconn in their prestigious Master Gardener program. She believes the best medicine for the soul is in the garden and getting your hands in the dirt. She combines her love of exterior design with her green thumb to help her clients create lush gardens and delightful landscapes. Kerri-Lee is an active volunteer at the Gifts of Love Farm, a 77-acre certified organic farm located in Simsbury, Connecticut that provides fresh produce and ongoing educational programs to families in need. She is currently working with the organization’s Executive Director to create a wildflower meadow, fire pit and educational area, as well as setting up farm-to-table fundraising dinners and wine tastings reflective of her signature style.
The Kerri-Lee Mayland Company is located in a quaint 200-year-old cottage next to a babbling brook in historic Avon, Connecticut. It’s not far from the capital city of Hartford, but for a moment you might think you’ve been transported back to a simpler time. It’s located smack dab in the middle of the Avon Village Center next to the new Whole Foods. There’s a bird sanctuary outside her cozy 404-square-foot office, and she’ll offer you tea, a cocktail or fresh-cut flowers while you’re there.
Kerri-Lee lives in Connecticut with her husband, Kirt, son, Van, and daughter, Kitty.
